Your installer can advise you of the best way to test your
particular system.
5.10.1 Fire Alarm Testing
Do not use flame or any kind of burning materials to test your
fire detection devices. Contact your alarm installer for safe
ways to test your system.
5.10.2 System Maintenance
With normal use, you system requires no maintenance other
than regular testing. We recommend that the backup battery
be changed every three years.
How Do I Test the System?
With the system disarmed and the light on:
1) Walk in protected areas to activate motion detectors.
The display should read: zone open.
2) Open and close protected doors and windows. The
display should read: zone open.
